Lampworking is the process of melting glass and forming objects such as beads and marbles. It's called lampworking because it was originally done over an oil lamp. Now most lampworkers use propane or natural gas torches.
I am a self-representing artist, which means that I make all of my own beads on a GTT surface mix torch using American, Italian and German glasses. These are not imported, factory made beads. Each one is made by me on my torch, and is then put into a digitally-controlled kiln, where they are annealed and cooled overnight for increased strength and durability, and then are individually cleaned and inspected by me.
My beads can be purchased at: I offer combined shipping on orders from any of my shops. |
